Prof Onor, Jarvis, Other Stakeholders Visit APC Chieftain, Eteng, After Successful Surgery

High-powered delegation of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has paid a non-political courtesy visit to renowned legal practitioner and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Obol Barr. Utum Eteng, following his successful surgery.
The delegation, led by the PDP presidential candidate, Ntufam Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, included the party's Cross River State governorship candidate, Sir Arthur Jervis; his running mate, Political Evangelist Barr. Alphonsus Oga Eba; the Central Senatorial District candidate, Hon. John Ifere; as well as other prominent party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters.
The visit, described by many as a reflection of political maturity and statesmanship, underscored the enduring values of humanity, compassion, and mutual respect that transcend political affiliations.
Members of the delegation expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the successful surgery and recovery of Barr. Utum Eteng, whose improving health has been welcomed by family members, political associates, friends, and well-wishers across party lines.
During the visit, prayers were offered for his complete recovery, renewed strength, continued good health, and divine protection.
The delegation emphasised that moments of illness and recovery remind society that human relationships and shared values are greater than political competition.
They also urged for continuous promotion of peace, unity, and love regardless of political ideology or party affiliation.
The visit has attracted widespread commendation from political observers and members of the public, who described it as a commendable demonstration of political civility. Responding to the visit, Obol Barr. Utum Eteng expressed profound appreciation to the PDP presidential candidate for the thoughtful gesture of leading the delegation to his residence despite their longstanding legal and political engagements, particularly in matters involving the defense of Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu.
He also expressed delight at receiving Barr. Alphonsus Oga Eba, whom he described as "his own son," as well as the PDP governorship candidate, Sir Arthur Jervis, who visited his home for the first time.
The delegation prayed that Almighty God would continue to bless and preserve Barr. Eteng, granting him long life, sound health, wisdom, and abundant grace.
