Sen Eteng Mourns Eka Williams, Describe Him As Political Engine

Cross Riverians have continued to send in their dirge on the death of Dr. Prince Eka Williams.
The latest is coming from the Senator representing Cross River Senatorial District, Eteng Jones Williams, who condoled with the family, describing his death as heartbroken and a political loss to APC family.
In a statement personally signed by Eteng, he said Eka Williams' death is a loss to friends, political associates, Cross River State Executive council and the many people whose lives you touched throughout your years of service.
The terse elegy, which Eteng titled “I NEVER KNEW OUR LAST CONVERSATION WOULD BE OUR LAST” reads in part: "Indeed, life is fragile, and death comes when we least expect it.
"One moment, we are making plans for tomorrow; the next, we are mourning someone who was part of those plans.
"Little did I know that one of our final conversations would indeed be our last.
"Prince Eka Williams was not just a political associate, he was a brother, and a loyal friend.
"Throughout his lifetime, Eka Wills, as we fondly called him, distinguished himself through public service and political engagements.
"For me, Eka Wills was one of a kind, a political engine and a man who understood the political terrain in Ikom Local Government Area and across Cross River Central, and, more importantly, understood his people.
"You will not be here to see the tomorrow we discussed. But the memories we shared, the lives you touched, and the contributions you made to our dear state will remain with us.
"Your death is a painful loss to your family, friends, political associates, the APC family, Cross River State Executive council and the many people whose lives you touched throughout your years of service.
"On behalf of the entire Cross River Central Senatorial District, I extend my heartfelt condolences to your immediate family and the Cross River State Government. May God grant us all the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.Rest well, my brother! Rest well, Eka Wills!!"
Until his death, Eka was the State Deputy Chairman of our great party, the APC, and until his passing, was the Cross River State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy.
