Orok Duke Hails Delta Governor, NDDC on Warri Office Commissioning

The Cross River State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Orok Otu-Duke, has hailed the governor of Delta State Sheriff Oborevwori and the Delta state NDDC office on the completion and commissioning of the Commission’s new Delta State House in Warri, Delta State.
Dr. Orok Duke while represents Cross River State on the NDDC Board, expressed delight at the successful completion of the project, describing it as a milestone that reinforces the Commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness across the region.
“The Delta State House is more than just an office, it represents the NDDC’s renewed focus on service, accountability, and shared growth,” Duke said. “As a Board, we are determined to ensure that every state, including Cross River, continues to benefit from equitable development and impactful projects.”
He noted that the new complex would not only improve coordination within the state but also strengthen the relationship between the Commission and its host communities, creating a more responsive and efficient NDDC structure.
He highlighted the Commission’s ongoing local scholarship programme for over 600 sons and daughters of the Niger Delta pursuing master’s degrees, describing it as a key investment in education and human capital development aimed at empowering the region’s youth.
Duke further commended the leadership of the Commission and the host communities for their cooperation and vision, emphasizing that sustainable development in the Niger Delta can only be achieved through partnership, transparency, and shared responsibility while reaffirming his commitment to supporting initiatives that align with the Board’s renewed mandate to transform the Niger Delta through infrastructural growth, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
The event drew notable guests from across the Niger Delta region, including political leaders, traditional rulers, and representatives of key development agencies.
