Etomi School Hails C’River Health Commissioner, Dr. Ayuk, for Scholarship Support

The management, staff, and students of Community Secondary School, Etomi, have expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, for awarding scholarships to Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) students of the institution.
In a letter dated December 4, 2025 and signed by the Principal, Elder Eji Etta Tawo, the school described the gesture as a “tremendous boost” to the educational journey of the beneficiaries and a clear demonstration of Dr. Ayuk’s commitment to nurturing young minds.
According to the school, the scholarship will not only ease financial burdens on parents but will also inspire students to work harder, knowing that their dreams and efforts are being supported. Elder Tawo noted that such investments in education help shape future leaders and strengthen the foundation of communities like Etomi.
“As the Principal, I sincerely acknowledge the receipt of ₦419,900 released for 38 students. Once again, thank you,” he stated, describing the support as timely and impactful. He added that the funds would greatly assist the beneficiaries and reinforce the school’s drive for academic excellence.
“We appreciate your investment in our future leaders and look forward to seeing the positive impact it creates,” the letter continued, noting that the Commissioner’s continued support for education reflects a deep sense of responsibility and partnership with the community.
The school expressed gratitude for Dr. Ayuk’s kindness, noting that his intervention has renewed hope among the students and strengthened their resolve to pursue excellence.
Recall the Commissioner, through his pet project, Teacher Okongor Asu Ayuk Education Foundation, had awarded scholarships to no fewer than 196 class one (JSS1) students in government-owned schools across Etung local government, a gesture that has continued to draw plaudits from parents, teachers, community leaders, clergies, women, youth groups, among others.
