Senator Jarigbe Donates Tractor To Farmers In The Northern Senatorial District

In a bid to support large scale farming and encourage mechanized agricultural practices, the Senator representing Cross River Northern Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has donated an MF375 Tractor to an agricultural co-operative.

The tractor can be used to perform and facilitate a number of agricultural activities in farms including tilling, ploughing, harvesting and transportation of agricultural products.

Presenting the tractor, Jarigbe urged the Co-Operative to make good use of the equipment which is meant to boost agricultural production and make farming easier.

The Senator, represented by Mr. Gospel Agom, encouraged government at all levels as well stakeholders in the agricultural sector, to support agricultural production, stating that it is the next “oil” for Nigeria.

He noted that Senator Jarigbe is poised to improve productivity and enhance food sufficiency in the Northern Senatorial district.

Jarified Brothers Co-operative Society Ltd, the beneficiaries of the tractor, thanked the lawmaker for giving them the tractor which they described as a booster.

They added that the tractor would go a long way in inspiring them to do more on their farms thereby improving the economy of the senatorial district and the state at large.
