Gov. Otu: An All-Time Patriarch of Service and Development, Says Ekanem Ekpo

Dr. Prince Ekanem Ekpo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Housing, has described Governor Bassey Otu as an “all-time patriarch of service and development”. He said this during the Southern Senatorial District endorsement event held in Calabar on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

 Ekpo commended the Governor as a man of wisdom, strength, and integrity. He said Governor Otu has shown true leadership by focusing on development and putting the people first.

“God has given us a man with a great mind and clean hands. A man who cannot be spoiled by power. A man with a strong will and a clear vision,” he said.

He explained that the gathering was not just for endorsement, but to honour a leader who has made real progress in Cross River State.

He urged young people across the state to learn from Governor Otu’s example, stressing that greatness was built on consistent hard work, vision, and the fear of God.

“The future belongs to those who work hard and fear God. Success is never by accident,” he said.

Ekpo also called on Cross Riverians, especially those in positions of influence, to stand together, support one another, and help the needy in order to foster collective growth for the state and the nation.

“Governor Bassey Otu is truly a man of service. We are proud of him. We salute you, great one,” he added.
