Former Governor Ebri Crowned Esoghor 1 of Nta Community

The Nta community in Ikom local government area of Cross River State have bestowed on the former Governor Clement Ebri the Chieftaincy title Esoghor 1 of Nta (The Pillar 1 of Nta).
The event which held in the maternal hometown of Chief, Adon-Nta village, is in recognition of his enduring legacy, statesmanship, and deep-rooted connection to his people.
Speaking at the event, the speaker of the Cross River state house of Assembly and member representing Ikom 2 state constituency Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem hailed the Nta community for recognising one of their own and a statesman per excellence.
He described Chief Ebri as an outstanding leader, a statesman par-excellence and father figure whose short tenure as executive governor was impactful and left a lasting imprint on the state’s development.
Appreciating the people of Nta, Chief Clement Ebri thanked them for finding him worthy of recognition and for bestowing on him the title of Esoghor 1 of Nta.
He hinted that there’s nothing as revealing as being honored by your own family as they are the only ones who can look at you and say the truth if you have done badly or done well.
The coronation which had a host dignitaries including the secretary to the state government Prof Anthony Owan Enoh in attendance, featured traditional rites, cultural performances, and heartfelt tributes in honour of the former governor’s contributions to Cross River State.
