NYSC: Ebonyi Government Promises Safety, Productive, Engagement of Members

The Government of Ebonyi State under the leadership of Governor Francis Nwifuru has as promised to productively engaged corps members and is also ready to provide safety and welfare throughout their stay in the State.
Governor Nwifuru made this promise while delivering his speech during the swearing -in ceremony of 2025 Batch ‘A’ stream II’ Corps Members at the National Youths Service Corps Orientation camp in Old McGregor College in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Youths and sports Development, Mr Richard Idike said “Our administration remains dedicated to supporting the welfare, safety and productive engagement of Corps Members throughout their service in the State ”
He maintained that the National Youth Service Corps remains a cornerstone of national unity, a platform through which young Nigerians, regardless of background or region, come together in the service of the nation.
“Over the years, the Scheme has continued to foster national integration,build resilience among youths and contribute significantly to its education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and other vital sectors across Nigeria,” he stated.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Oladeinde Foluke said this present administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru has shown exceptional leadership in ensuring that the welfare and needs of Corps Members are well addressed.
“I want to acknowledge the presence of other distinguished dignitaries here, including the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the NYSC Ebonyi State Governing Board, Honourable Richard Ugo Idike, as well as the Chief Judge of Ebonyi State, Honourable Justice Elvis Ngene, ably represented, by Justice Nicholas Nwode who will be administered the Oath of Allegiance on our Corps Members”
“This is a momentous occasion, marking not just the beginning of a new phase for our young, dedicated Corps Members, but also a reflection of the significant strides Ebonyi State has made in supporting the NYSC scheme”
“His Excellency’s administration has shown exceptional leadership in ensuring that the welfare and needs of Corps Members are well addressed.”
She thanked everyone who have made the ceremony successful.
The highlight of the ceremony was the inspection of the New NYSC camp clinic and that of the ongoing hostel.
