Sen Eteng Inaugurates Ultra-Modern Toilets at Ikom Police Division, Promises More Dividends of Democracy

Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central senatorial district, has inaugurated a newly constructed ultra-modern toilets at Ikom Police Division in Ikom local government area.
Eteng, had during the Easter celebration visited the Police station and promised to construct a befitting toilets for the station to ease sanitation challenge.
And within two months, he has delivered on promise as the toilet facilities was commissioned on July 5, 2025 and keys handed over to the police authorities.
Speaking at the event, Eteng , represented by the Central Coordinator and a former chairman of Ikom local government area.Hon. Ayiba Ojong, commended the contractor for the timely completion of the project, which was delivered within just two months.
He said: "We responded swiftly and intentionally to the request made by the DPO of the Ikom Division. We are really committed to making life better for our people. We will continue to attract more infrastructures to communities that need it most.
"We also commend the project contractor, Hon. Ndifon Ojogu, for executing the project excellently and within schedule."
Responding on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force, the DPO of Ikom Division, thanked Senator Eteng for fulfilling his promise.
He said the lack of proper sanitation facilities has been a long-standing challenge for the division, adding that the new facility will significantly improve daily operations.
He conveyed the appreciation of his team and wished the Senator continued success.
In his own remarks, the Liaison Officer for Ikom and former Deputy Leader of the Ikom Legislative Council,Hon. Nton Joseph, expressed satisfaction with the quality of the project, commending the Senator for delivering on his promise and assured the police division that more impactful projects would come, knowing the Senator’s genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
