CR Assembly Speaker Ayambem to Open Website for Journalists

he Speaker of the Cross River State 10th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, 
has promised to open a website for all journalists who are correspondents of the 
State Assembly.

 Speaker Ayambem made the promise in his office on Tuesday the 27th of 
June 2023, when a delegation of The Beagle News management led by the 
Managing Editor, Comrade Victor Udu, paid him and his colleagues an official visit 
in his chamber to present copies of the newspaper to the lawmaker. 

Mr. Speaker recounted his earlier stand of leading an excellent and transparent 
Assembly and noted that under his leadership, there will be nothing the 10th Assembly 
will do secretly.

According to the Speaker it was their duty as representatives of the people to make 
public all the activities of their legislative actions, and nothing should be hidden from them. 

In his words, "I have always emphasized that our office belongs to the people who 
sent us here, and I think making public our dealings through all the media space and 
news outlets is one of my priorities as Speaker. 

"I will on this note create a website for all journalists sent here, where information 
about our meetings and activities throughout this 10th assembly will always be updated on."

Earlier, Victor Udu had promised to partner with the House in ensuring that their 
activities are given adequate publicity.
