Senator Jarigbe Launches Construction of Betukwel-Bebua Road in Obudu LGA

In a move aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure and stimulating local development, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, who represents Cross River North Senatorial District, has flagged off the construction of the Betukwel-Bebua Road in Begiading Ward, Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The Senator was represented at the official flag-off ceremony by his Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, who conveyed the Senator’s appreciation to the people of Obudu for their continued support and trust. He assured the community that Senator Jarigbe remains committed to fulfilling every promise made during the campaign, emphasizing that the Senator’s vision for Cross River North includes tangible, people-centered development.

According to Mr. Mgbantul, the road construction is part of a broader initiative to improve access to essential services, promote economic activities, and ensure easier transportation for residents within Obudu and adjoining areas.

He noted that this project, along with others already delivered or underway, reflects the Senator’s dedication to delivering real value to his constituents.

“We have made notable progress in this ward already,” Mgbantul said. “In addition to the road, we’ve completed water projects and launched a street lighting initiative. These are all steps toward transforming our communities and improving quality of life.

The Senator is determined to complete every project he has set in motion before the end of his current term.”

Community leaders, elders, and stakeholders present at the event expressed their gratitude to Senator Jarigbe for bringing development closer to the grassroots.

They commended his proactive approach to governance and pledged their continued support. Many also offered prayers for his strength and success in delivering more projects across the Senatorial District.

The road project is expected to significantly enhance mobility, ease the movement of goods and services, and open up new economic opportunities for the local population.
