THE Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) is set to mark its 40th year anniversary. The fellowship was founded from Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai's crusade, (“Greater Lagos for Christ’). Since then, PFN has grown in leaps and bounds with functional branches in all 36 states and FCT, local government areas and wards.
The celebration is slated for all 36 states, Abuja and Lagos. While Cross River state chapter will celebrate the anniversary on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Gold City Church, Calabar, Lagos will click glasses to celebrate the auspicious occasion on October 23, 2025 at Redemption Camp and Abuja will follow suit on October 27, 2025.
Speaking on the activities ahead of the day, the Cross River State chairman of PFN, Apostle Trinity Ogar, said this is the auspicious time for Christians all over the country to come together and take the gospel to all nooks and crannies with the aim of winning more souls for Christ.
According to him, “this unique occasion offers an opportunity for us to rededicate our lives to the teachings of Jesus christ and then pray for the unity, survival and peaceful co-existence of one another rather than engaging in ungodly acts that could derail our national growth and development. He called on leaders to always seek the face of God in all their dealings as doing so would guide them to making the right decisions at the right time
He hailed the founding fathers including late Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Pastor Ayo Oristajafor, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Dr. felix Omobude, W. F. Kumuyi and a whole lot of long list of others that contributed to the growth of the fellowship in Nigeria.
“As state chairman, I wish all PFN members, especially the National President, Bishop Dr. Francis Wole Oke, National Advisory Council (NAC), as well as National Executive Council (NEC) happy anniversary, I also celebrate our national Vice President, South South, Archbishop Emmah Isong, and all my colleagues at the state level of leadership. Above all, I celebrate our State Advisory Council (SAC), and State Executive Council (SEC) for their efforts and contributions to the growth of PFN.”
Calling on members to be part of the thanksgiving celebration holding at Gold City Gospel Ministry at No.9. Ikot Abasi Obori, off Calabar-Calabar Road about 3:00pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Ogar said: “We appreciate the good working relationship we have with government, traditional rulers and other blocs of Christianity. We solicit more cordial relationship as PFN moves from glory to glory.”
