Speaker Ayambem Endorses Ikom Chairmanship Candidate, Pledges Support Towards The Growth Of Ikom

In a bid to synergize and strengthen political ties, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikom local government Council chairmanship position Pastor Mercy Nsor has paid a courtesy visit to the speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem. 

Pst. Nsor who met with the speaker at his residence said the visit was to synergize with the speaker as a representative of the people of Ikom. 

She pointed out that she was proud to have a brother from Ikom as the leader of the legislative arm of the state while suing for political ties that will change the fortunes of the council.

She added that the need for the collaboration between the legislature and the local government council cannot be overemphasized as it will lead to policies that will positively propel sustainable development for the people of Ikom. 

On his part, the speaker of the state house of assembly Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem congratulated her for emerging the flag bearer for the APC stating that he has full confidence that as a seasoned administrator, she will bring her wealth of experience to bear. 

The speaker reiterated his commitment to the growth of Ikom local government while assuring her of his unwavering commitment and support towards human capital, infrastructural and economic development in Ikom.

The meeting ended with prayers for the growth and development of Ikom local government and for the success of the APC candidate at the forthcoming local government polls.
