By Missang AKPET

The general overseer of the Christian Central Chapel International Bishop Emma Isong is set to host a 5 day power packed event tagged 5 Star Celebration.

The thanksgiving event which is to mark series of anniversaries in his life will hold at the Faith Mansion Worldwide from the 20th to 26th of October 2024.

Addressing news men, Bishop Isong said the 5 star celebration is to mark his 50th birthday anniversary, 40 years anniversary in the ministry and 35 years in marriage.

He said, "the event will be preceded by a powerful conference that will feature annoited men of God like Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai, Archbishop Joseph Alexander, Prelate Prof. Isaiah Isong, Rev. Ntia I Ntia and other ministers of the gospel.

"We will also be having a pastors conference tagged 'He is Worthy', award presentations, launching of the "Kapse Kapse" musical album as well as Archbishopric consecration".

Commenting on the state of the nation, Bishop Isong advised states who share common boundaries to come together, collaborate and establish an interstate development commission to help themselves in times of need.

"Neighboring states should collaborate to establish interstate commission. Akwa Ibom and Cross River can establish Akwacross Commission, a situation where if one state is poor, the other state can help instead of Cross River State Governor going to Maryland for synergy while AkwaIbom goes to Singapore".

"There should be a law for local governments to establish atleast an industry in each local government which will employ as many people as possible. This will bring development, reduce crime, create employment, and reduce the rate of rural-urban migration".

On the forthcoming local government elections, he called on the state governor to provide a level playing ground for all parties and desist from the rulling party takes it all system characterized in Nigerian politics.

"I had spoken with the state Governor about the credibility of the elections and the governor assured me that it will be democratic. I know the governor to be a man of his words so I expect nothing short of a credible election.

"As Nigerians, we should begin to do away with this 'winner takes all mentality', of Nigerian politicians, any Local Government the ruling party loses election, they should accept defeat and let other political parties win and make their own imput" Isong said.

He however encouraged the ruling party to always consult the opposition and Carry them along in governance adding that if one loses elections, it does not mean he has nothing to offer.
