he immediate past speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly and Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Sen. Eteng Williams Jones, has pecked the welfare of his constituents as a top priority, during his term at the senate.

 Williams who spoke to journalist at the National Assembly complex after his inauguration, added that, the act of making laws was the primary assignment of every legislator but looking at the present state of the economy, they would be a high focus on the living condition of his constituents.

"Coming from the state Assembly, the act of lawmaking isn't new to me and I'll surely commit my experience and resources into ensuring that people-centric bills and motions will be sponsored in the Senate by me."

"I have confidence in the leadership of The Uncommon Senate President, Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, he has the resume and experience to lead the 10th Senate right and I'll give him my support, as an Akwa-Cross Brother and a leader in the party"

The Senator, also charged his constituents to continue keeping himself and his colleagues in prayers, to enable them serve and live up to their expectations "My humble request is for our people to continue remembering us in prayers and moral support. We need all the prayers we can get so we don't derail during our service to the people"
