Thanksgiving Breeds Increase, Clergy admonishes C'River NAWIA

By Hannah ARIKPO

The Minister in charge of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) Highflyers parish, Atu Street, Calabar, Pastor Henry Enefele has admonished members of the Nigerian Association of Women in Agriculture (NAWIA) Cross River State chapter to always be thankful to God as it breeds increase and multiplication both individually and collectively as an association.

Pastor Enefele gave the admonition when Cross River NAWIA held her thanksgiving service in appreciation to God for His benevolence throughout last year and to mark the beginning of a new year 2024.

The Clergyman who supported his Sermon with passages from the Bible highlighted the importance of thanksgiving, some of which, he mentioned, as having undeniable access to Breakthroughs in life, open doors and miracles as well as laying a successful foundation for the transformation of the association to greater heights.

He used the opportunity to call on the Women in Agriculture to always respect constituted authority, the government of the day and even their Spouses so as to gain favour in their endeavours, while advising them to work as a team in Unity and Love to enable the association to enjoy supernatural greatness from one level to another. "God is encouraged to do more when you thank Him for the little He has done.

That is why I know that NAWIA has a very great future." Enefele assured. The State Coordinator of NAWIA, Mrs Ekaette Pius Okon, had disclosed the association's resolve to appreciate God's blessings in 2023 and as well prepare for the 2024 farming season.

"We have come to thank God for preserving us as a Family. In 2023 we did not bury any member, neither our children nor spouses.

The gifts here is to ensure our exploits this year for a bountiful harvest." Ekaette explained.

The Women presented agricultural produce ranging from food stuff and fruits from their farms during the thanksgiving.

The Nigerian Association of Women in Agriculture (NAWIA) is a non-political organization directly involved in practical agriculture to ensure food sufficiency by partnering with government in food security and production in the country.
