Otu's Aide, Murphy, Commends Ministry of Works' Intervention on Dilapidated Road In Satellite Town Calabar

The Special Adviser to Governor Bassey Otu on Projects/Programmes Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr.Raphael Murphy, has commended the state government for the prompt intervention on the road project in School Road 1 and other link road in satellite town, Calabar Municipality.

being undertaken by the Ministry of Works Cross River State.

Murphy, who was on tour of the project being undertaken by the Ministry of Works in the area, applauded the governor, describing him as a hardworking, passionate and a visionary leader.

He pointed out that his proactiveness in roads rehabilitation and other projects needing urgent government intervention, coupled with his people-oriented programmes are a testaments to his uncommon commitment to overall well-being of his people.

The Special Adviser stressed that he will "ensure effective and consistent projects supervision and further request the Director Civil in the Ministry of Works to provide the bill of quantity for the satellite town road intervention project.

"The road rehabilitation in School Road 1,Satellite Town in Calabar Municipality Area, is linking with several other roads within the area, including the popular Ekpo Okon street.

"The roads, which have been in a deplorable state for years, has access to several other adjoining streets habe created difficult scenarios for residents in the area.

"His Excellency's intervention through the Ministry of Works on this very important road, have affirmed his “People’s First mantra”, said Murphy.
