Ebonyi state: Gov Nwifuru Increases Salaries Of Academic, Non-Academic Staff Of State University
From Okoh OMAKA (Abakaliki) Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi has increased the salaries of non-academic staff of the State University been 20 and 10 respectively.
Nwifuru, who disclosed this at the 13th convocation ceremony of Ebonyi State University held in Abakaliki on Saturday, said school fees at Ebonyi State University has been reduced by 10 percent. Nwifuru, who is a visitor to the institution, further disclosed that the monthly subvention of university has been reviewed upwards, from N200m to N280m.
According to him, "Henceforth, first-class graduates of Ebonyi State University, of Ebonyi State origin will be offered automatic employment to lecture at the University, while those who have graduated with first-class, either of Ebonyi State origin or not, enjoys same privilege.
"Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital, AE-FUTHA II located along Abakaliki-Enugu Expressway is now know and called, Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital."
