Entrepreneurial Hospitals Are Key For Hospital Of The Future, IHSAN's National President, Archibong

The national President of Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN),Pst Mrs RoseMary Archibong, Esq FHAN, has stated that entrepreneurial hospitals are key for the hospital of the future.
Pst Mrs Archibong, who stated this at a 3-day National Workshop and Council Meeting held between April 16 and 18 in Minna, Niger State with the theme "Building The Hospital Of The Future", reminded the hospital administrators that the quality of administrators regulates the success or otherwise of the hospitals.
According to her, "if the hospital is harmoniously coordinated, she stated, clinical professionals would address their duties efficiently and effectively.
"I, therefore, enjoin workshop participants, that knowledge gained at the Workshop should not be hoarded, but should be shared with other administrators in their hospitals, in order to position them as dynamic, entrepreneurial conscious administrators that would drive the development of strategic plans, goals and objectives of the hospital.
"Mrs Archibong further reminded participants that the deepening of their professional acumen as Hospital Administrators at this time when Mr President, Alj Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is committed to the improvement of our health sector outcomes, should be taken very seriously."
While acknowledging the pioneering contributions of the fathers of the Institute exemplified by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Bashorun Doja Adewolu MFR, the President stated that "building of entrepreneurial hospitals is key to the success of the Hospital of the future."
A 7-point communique was issued at the end of the Workshop. Honorary Fellowship award was conferred on the Medical Director (MD), Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Dr Adekile O. Owoeye, for his sustained support to the Institute, as well as three other Fellowship conferments just as thirty new Hospital Administrators were inducted as members of the Institute.
Dignatories at the opening ceremony include the Hon Commissioner, Secondary and Tertiary Health, Niger State, who declared the Workshop open; and the Vice Chancellor of the New Gate University, Minna.
