Constituents' yearnings, my topmost priority - LP Lawmaker

The member representing Yala 1 in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Brian Odey has assured his constituents that their yearnings and aspirations would be his topmost priority in his time in the hallowed chambers.

Odey, who is the Labour Party's only representative in the State House of Assembly, said as a committed son of the soil, he had already carried out needs assessment of his constituency and would relay such priorities to the government through his legislative contributions.

The lawmaker, in a recent chat with newsmen, thanked the people of Yala 1, across party lines, for reposing confidence in him through the overwhelming goodwill and support that saw him clinched victory at the polls, reassuring that such confidence, he will repay them duly.

Hon. Odey also use the opportunity to call on his constituents to continue to support him, keep the faith, and in touch with his office to draw his attention to the teething issues bothering the constituency.

He expressed hoped that in the fullness of time, Yala 1 Constituency will have a cause to say "we are grateful for having him as our representative."
