PTDF Beneficiary Hails Senator Eteng as He Commences MSc Studies in UK

A beneficiary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund Overseas Scholarship Scheme, Ndoma Akunobor, has commenced academic activities in the United Kingdom, expressing deep appreciation to Senator Eteng Williams for his support.
Akunobor, a constituent of the senator, recently arrived in the UK to begin a Master of Science programme at the University of Salford, Manchester. He described the scholarship opportunity, facilitated through the intervention of Senator Eteng Williams, who represents Cross River Central Senatorial District, as a defining moment in his academic and personal journey.
The scholar attributed his emergence under the highly competitive PTDF scheme to the encouragement and support he received from the lawmaker, noting that the gesture has significantly altered the course of his life. He pledged continued loyalty and support to the senator.
Akunobor also acknowledged the contributions of Richie Romanus and Hope Obeten, whom he said provided consistent guidance and assistance throughout the scholarship application and transition process.
Speaking on his background, Akunobor said he hails from Iyami community in Okuni Village, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, adding that his journey reflects the power of perseverance and the positive impact of support from dedicated leadership.
He urged fellow constituents, particularly youths with academic and professional aspirations, to continue supporting Senator Eteng Williams in his efforts to transform the fortunes of aspiring professionals and change the development narrative of Cross River Central, while remaining committed to diligence and excellence despite societal challenges.
Akunobor assured his benefactors and well wishers of his determination to excel in his studies and to justify the confidence reposed in him as a PTDF scholar in the United Kingdom.
