UNICAL VC Visits Ministers For Education, Sports And Humanitarian Affairs

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi on Thursday August 24th, paid a courtesy visits to the newly inaugurated Ministers for Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN, Sports, Sen. John Enoh and that of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu in their respective offices in Abuja.
The Vice Chancellor who was accompanied by the University's Registrar Amb. Gabriel Egbe and the Alumni Relations Officer Barr. Dorncklaimz Enamhe, said the visits was to congratulates the new Education Minister and colleagues from Cross River State in the persons of Sen. John Enoh and Dr. Betta Edu who are both products of the University.
Prof. Obi said the appointment of the Education Minister Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN, who was former VC and DG of the law school, is a round peck on a round hole and that she's confident that he will transform the educational sector in Nigeria.
Professor Mamman commended the VC of University of Calabar for her good leadership skills, especially under crises in the university and encourage her to keep up with the good works, while promising to work with her to see that the university achieve their target goals.
Similarly, the Vice Chancellor also extended her visits to the ministers of sports and humanitarian affairs, who graduated from the university years ago to convey the university's congratulatory massage to them.
According to the VC, their distinctive roles, responsibilities and personal growth has brought the university so much pride and that she is confident that they will continue to make them proud.
Sen. Enoh who was a lecturer with the university thanked the VC for the visit and promised to continue making the institution proud through hard work and dedication.
Prof. Obi hailed the Humanitarian Minister Dr. Betta Edu, says the Unical is so proud of her. Responding, Dr. Edu said it was the VC's achievements that has encouraged most young ladies, especially herself to work hard to get to where she is today, and she promised to do much better for not just the university to be prouder, but humanity in general.
