Rivers Administrator, NBA Trade Words Over N300m To Host Conference

Rivers State Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, and Nigeria Bar Association ( NBA) have traded words over N300m the later collected to host it's annual conference.

NBA recently changed the venue of its 2025 annual conference to Enugu following the declaration of emergence rule in Rivers State and subsequent suspension of Fubara.

Responding to NBA for changing its Annual General Conference from Port Harcourt to Enugu, Ibas said: "NBA claims to stand on 'principle', but they haven't returned the N300 million paid by the Rivers State Government for the hosting."

Reacting, NBA said:"We won't be refunding any money back to Rivers State Government, because the money (N300 million) was a gift to them by Suspended Governor Fubara."
