EXCLUSIVE:  Ahoada East LG Sole Administrator Beaten Blue and Black, Forced To Resign By Stakeholders

FRESH facts have emerged how the Sole Administrator for Ahoada East local government area of Rivers State, Mr. Goodluck Iheamnacho, was beaten blue and black and was forced to resign by stakeholders.

Investigations by THE BEAGLE NEWS revealed that contrary to news making the rounds that the Sole Administrator did not resign to contest forthcoming council election, but was  harassed and pummeled by some stakeholders for being intransigent.

Further investigations revealed that stakeholders led by the  CSO of the council, Mr Hector Ekakita, with about 30 others stormed his office and beat him to stupor and forced him to sign the purported resignation letter.

They carted away yet to be identified valuables from his office.

Further investigations revealed that Iheamnacho has been having a running battle with some critical stakeholders who accuse him of not settling them monthly as agreed before his name was submitted for appointment as Sole Administrator.

A sources close to Iheamnacho confided in our correspondent that the stakeholders have been demanding outrageous sum of money every month from the council allocation, threatening that if he fails they will make his stay as Sole Administrator very miserable.

The Sole Administrator is said to be recieving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt.

 Iheamnacho only spent 70 days in office, as he was appointed on April 9, 2025, and was officially sworn in on April 11, 2025.

In the purported resignation letter dated June 20, 2025, and addressed to Ibas, Iheamnacho  cited personal decision to return to the private sector.

As at the time of going to press, the state government is yet to issue any statement on the development.
