APC Chairman Cries Out Over Deplorable State of Odukpani-Biase Highway

The state chairman of the Cross River State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Barr Alphonsus Eba has drawn the attention of the federal government to the deplorable state of the Odukpani-Biase federal highway, in Cross River State.

Eba who spoke at the flag-off ceremony of the construction of the Lagos-Calabar dual carriage way in Akamkpa said the Ikom Calabar highway is a federal road that was constructed in the 70s and has stood the test of time.

He lamented that the road has claimed too many lives because of its deplorable state as well as caused the loss of goods through accidents.

Eba explained that the Odukpani-Biase axis of the road is part of the Ikom-Calabar highway which the Biase-Ikom axis of the road had been repaired left with the Biase-Odukpani stretch.

While assuring that the state will be committing over 500,000 votes for the re-election of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, he called on the Minister of works to give the state something to boast about by delivering on the road.
