Senator Jarigbe Empowers Market Women With N2m, Promises More Support for SMEs

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial district, has empowered about twenty market women with two million Naira to boost their businesses.
Jarigbe, who made a brief stop over to interact with petty traders at Abouchiche, Bekwarra LGA, restated his commitment to support the small medium scale businesses and other entrepreneurial endeavors across the senatorial district of the state.
He commended the women for their commitment to their businesses amid the present economic adversities and challenges facing the country.
The lawmaker, who hailed the women for their industry, assured that deliberate policies and empowerment programs would be put in place aimed at primarily targeting SMEs only.
Supporting the twenty (20) women, who sells Beans Pudding (moi moi) with the sum of N100,000 each totalling N2m.
Speaking, one of the beneficiaries, Madam Agnes Odoh, said Jarigbe has not only shown that he is a leader with an empathic heart, but a listening Senator ready to offer support when necessary to his constituents.
Commending the Senator, Alice, another beneficiary, said the lawmaker has "created a safe and inclusive atmosphere where everyone is valued and appreciated."
