Fabrizio Romano has confirmed six big ‘Here We Go’ transfers in the space of 24 hours as the summer window explodes into life at the end of June.

Romano announced deals involving Jamie Gittens, Samuele Ricco, Matteo Rugeri, Paul Pogba, Rodrigo Riquelme and Ange Bonny, according to Footballtransfers.

Atletico Madrid will sign Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta as their new left back.

“Atlético Madrid have prepared all documents of Matteo Ruggeri deal with Atalanta,” Romano said.

“Deal set to be sealed for €17m plus €3m add-ons.

“Here we go confirmed.”

Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sign Parma striker Ange Bonny as Marcus Thuram’s understudy.

“Yoan Bonny to Inter, here we go! Deal agreed between all parties involved,” Romano said.

“Understand contract has been fully agreed and Parma will receive €23m plus €3m add-ons.

“Formal steps to follow now.

Despite links with other clubs, Bonny to Inter was never in doubt.”


Romano gave his customary ‘Here We Go’ announcement for Jamie Gittens to Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around €64m.

“Jamie Bynoe-Gittens to Chelsea, here we go! Deal agreed club to club with Borussia Dortmund,” Romano said.

“Contract until June 2032 for JBW who always wanted Chelsea.

“Understand medical will take place TONIGHT for Jamie.”

Romano also announced the signing of Rodrigo Riquelme by Real Betis from Atletico Madrid.

“Rodrigo Riquelme to Real Betis, here we go! Deal done on a five year contract for Roro to join the Betis project,” Romano said.

“He’s the replacement for Jesús Rodriguez who’s set to join Como next week for €22.5m plus add-ons.

“Sell-on clause will be part of Riquelme deal with Atléti.”

In a deal that was later made official, Paul Pogba has signed for Monaco on a free transfer.

“Paul Pogba has signed his contract as new AS Monaco player after medical completed, deal sealed!,” Romano said.

“The official statement could take place already later today. It’s all done.

“Here we go, confirmed.”

And finally, AC Milan has done a deal to sign centre midfielder Samuele Ricci from Torino.

“Samuele Ricci to AC Milan, here we go! Deal now verbally agreed for €23m plus €2m add-ons,” Romano said.

“Ricci has been alerted for medical as Milan and Torino will complete formal steps early next week.

“Ricci will join in upcoming days then time for Modrić after World Cup.”
