Wike, Fubara Attend Burial Ceremony Together in Port Harcourt

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Saturday attended the burial of his uncle in Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Present at the ceremony were the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, along with other dignitaries and political figures.

Despite the ongoing political tension in the state, the appearance of both suspended officials alongside Wike drew public attention, as the trio were seen exchanging pleasantries during the solemn event.

The burial served not only as a moment of mourning for the Wike family, but also as a rare public gathering of key figures at the heart of Rivers State’s political crisis.

Other dignitaries and well-wishers from within and outside the state also attended to pay their last respects and show support to the FCT Minister.
