Kidnappers on Rampage abduct pastor, daughter, one other in Calabar

Gun-trotting men seem to be running riot in Calabar metropolis as they have abducted a Senior Pastor of World Alive Church, Rev Mike Obiora and the daughter, Shalom and another landlord at Statelite Town.

The incident happened on Thursday night between the Hours of 7: 30-9:30 pm at the victims' residences located at the end of Victory Way , Satelite Town , Calabar Municipality LGA. 

The Rev. Obiora and the landlord built houses very close to the river down the street.

The kidnappers were said to have shot sporadically while the operation lasted and successfully whisked away their victims to unknown destination.

A security source, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that one of the victims' shoes was found as security agents searched the entrance to the creek and that its adjoining surroundings but they hoodlum were long gone because the distress call came too late.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Irene Ugbo, said they won't relent until all those kidnapped were found.

"We are aware of the incident , our men swung into action when they got the distress call, we won't relent until they are found.

"They have ( tactical teams) combed the entire area thoroughly yesterday till this morning , but we won't stop until we find them."
