Firm To Partner Cross River On ICT Development

Silicon Valley Product Group (SVPG), a United States-based Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, has expressed interest to invest in Cross River state.
This was made known during a courtesy visit by representatives of the company to the state Governor Senator Bassey Otu.
Speaking during the visit, the team lead of SVPG Mr. Christian Idiodi, said the company is an ICT firm created to share senior level ICT experience and best practices with technology companies as well as offer trainings and services to governments.
He revealed that the team was in the state to help build ICT solutions that will be beneficial to all.
While expressing their readiness to invest in the state, Idiodi hinted that the team has carried out seminars and trainings in the state, aimed at encouraging ICT based solutions that could empower youths.
The Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu while lauding the info tech company for the effort they put into capacity building, charged them to take advantage of the large number of youths in the state to set-up ICT hubs in the state.
Otu maintained that an administration that embraces ICT automatically creates an enabling environment for innovation, development and advancement hence his government is an ICT friendly administration.
He added that God has blessed Cross River State with intelligent youths in the area of Information Technology and with the introduction of ICT hubs and partnership with the ICT firm there will be no limits for the teeming youths.
