Iloke Harps On Value Addition, Service Delivery As He Joins UNICROSS Alumni General Secretary Race

A towering journalists and Chairman of the Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Cross River State Council, Comrade Iloke Egbe, has harped on value addition and service delivery as yardsticks to voting for people into the UNICROSS Alumni Association leadership positions.

Egbe made the assertion, recently, while declaring his interest in the General Secretary position of the Association in its forthcoming election on December 12.

While calling on alumni to support his aspiration, the fast rising journalist reeled out his Mission Statement and his abridged profile for members to make informed decisions on pitching tents with him.

MISSION STATEMENT: VALUE ADDITION FOR SERVICE DELIVERY 

As the General Secretary of Unicross Alumni Association I will demonstrate respect for the constitution of the Association as amended.

I will also obey and support the president by providing credible and transparent leadership through unity, team work and harmonious relationship among members of the national executive Council and all organs of the Association.

I will ensure that business of the association is conducted according to provisions of the constitution to promote peaceful atmosphere among all organs of the association and records of proceedings handle with the seriousness it deserved.

With my web of connections and linkages, I will ensure the University benefits from international and national Donor partners that are coming to the State to do business in the areas of Climate Change, Agriculture and Renewable Energy. 

I will also use my connections to ensure that scholarships are given to students by multi national corporations operating in the State and direct support to some Departments while seeking meaningful and long term support for the University to establish new Departments. 

Besides the afforementioned, we can also do by drawing from Cross River State diaspora community which am in touch with and are very ready to support the development of the State under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu who have demonstrated capacity and the willingness to develop the State for the benefit of all Cross Riverians.

I will also encourage the Unicross Alumni Association to carryout direct investment in the infrastructural needs of the University according to the capacity of the Association and promote reunion activities.

I will also ensure there are regular meetings with organs of the Association where the views and opinions (good ones), of members are gathered and discuss for the purpose of adoption towards Implementation.

Account of stewardship shall be provided or rendered according to the provisions of the constitution of the Association.

With me as the General Secretary, I will ensure there is active and functional Secretariat to enhance jop placement of our graduates in the labour market.

The welfare of members at all organs of the Association that will be brought to the notice of the Association will be given due attention according to provisions of the Association constitution and the reality at that material time.

And any other schedules necessary as may be assigned by the president.
