Hon. Ankpo Solicits Public Support For Otu's Govt To Achieve Mandate

Cross River State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Pius Ankpo has solicited support from the public for the administration of Senator prince Bassey Otu in the quest to translating its blueprint to reality for the overall wellbeing of the state.

Hon. Ankpo made the call, recently, when he had in audience members of the EkAN/IJOB political group in his office in Calabar.

The Commissioner called on members of the group to support the good intentions of the government, stating that although the task ahead is herculean but with all hands on deck, it is made easier and lighter.

"Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. For you to keep moving you need wisdom; and wisdom cannot come until there is a spiritual transmission from God. We need your support in all ramifications to succeed in giving you a better Cross River."

He said the Governor Otu-led government is people centered, pointing out that to deliver a fruitful, impactful and meaningful governance requires a crossbreeding and fertilization of ideas.

The Works and Infrastructure Boss stated that the visit was an indication of the reflection of unity of purpose, stating that it is a testament to the political reawakening and consciousness, given the youthfulness and commitment of members.

He expressed appreciation to the Governor for finding him worthy to serve in his administration as Commissioner, hinting that he would convey the message of solidarity to His Excellency, positing that the visit to his office is a visit to government of Cross River State.

"The support we enjoy from you during and after election is overwhelming. Your visit is not taken for granted, as partners in actualization of our collective aspirations through infrastructure and other developmental agenda. Our office is open for all who are ready to do business with us," he said.

Earlier the President, EKAN/IJOB Political Group, Mr. Iserom Festus said the visit was to congratulate the Commissioner on his appointment, familiarize with the office and re-echo the group's unalloyed co-operation and support for the success of his administration as the headship of the State's most viable Ministry.

He said "EKAN" which translates to peers is glad to see one of them being elevated while praying that with God and trusting in the capacity of the Commissioner he will sail the ship of the Ministry to an enviable height.
