FG Declares Free Tuition Fees For 33 Science, Technical Colleges As C'River, Ebonyi Miss Out

With effect from 2025/2026 academic session,
The Federal Government has abolished all fees at the 33 Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTC) in Nigeria from 2025/2026 academic session.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program for the 2025/26 academic year starting from August 2025.
TVET provides a practical approach to education, giving students credentials and abilities that are highly sought after in today’s labor market.
Benefits of TVET Programs
TVET programs are intended to assist students in gaining specialized skills in a wide range of industries, such as construction, engineering, hospitality, and healthcare, among many others!
By enrolling in this program, children will gain Industry-relevant skills for immediate employment, job readiness as courses are aligned with labour market needs, self employed opportunity as graduates are able to work for themselves, free tuition for the 3 years of training in the college, free accommodation for the 3 Years of training, and free meals for the 3 tears of training.
Besides, the students shall be paid monthly stipends for their upkeep and upon completion of studies in 3 years, students shall have access to federal grants or loans to start their enterprise.
Furthermore, students upon graduation will obtain a National Business and National Technical Certificate, students upon graduation will obtain the Second Certificate in National Skills Qualification Certification (NSQ) and the two certificates shall have worldwide acceptability for those who want to practice their enterprise or vocation overseas.
WANTS TO ENROLL?
Candidates, shall visit any of the Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTC) to register.
2. Registration Fee per Student is N4,200 (Four Thousand, Two Hundred Naira) only.
3. Upon payment of the Registration Fee, the FSTC Staff shall assist candidates to complete registration online.
4. Registration of candidates shall end on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
5. Entrance examination shall hold on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the selected Federal Science and Technical College FSTC, at 9: 00am and no late registration shall be allowed.
The Federal Science and Technical Colleges are
located at Ohanso and Aba in Abia, Orozo and Bwari in Abuja, Michika in Adamawa, Ikot Ekpene and Offot-Uyo in Akwa Ibom, in Anambra, Tungbo in Bayelsa, Otukpo, Otobi and Otukpa in Benue, Lassa in Borno, Uromi in Edo, Usi-Ekiti in Ekiti, Enugu in Enugu, Biliri in Gombe, Garaki in Jigawa, Kafanchan in Kaduna, Katsina in Katsina, Ilorin in Kwara and Ogugu in Kogi states.
Others Science and Technical Colleges are located at Zuru and Yauri in Kebbi, Yaba and Annex Yaba in Lagos, Doma in Nasarawa, Kuta in Niger, Ijebu-Imushin in Ogun, Ikare- Akoko in Ondo, Ilesha in Osun, Ahoada in Rivers, Sokoto in Sokoto, Jalingo in Taraba.
However, from the comprehensive list available to THE BEAGLE NEWS, Abuja Benue, Lagos, Enugu, Akwa Ibom and Abia states have two Federal Science and Technical Colleges each while Cross River and Ebonyi States have none.
