African Paralympic C'ttee Honours Nigeria's First Lady

Samseen Deen, President, African Paralympic Committee, yesterday honoured Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady and wife of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria as Grand Patron of the Committee.
The honour as the Grand Patron for African Para Games and Para Sports fraternity in Africa is in recognition of her dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
Eulogizing her, the Nigerian Sports Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh said "The well-deserving honour no doubt, is a testament to Her Excellency's vision of giving hope to the less privileged, most especially the physically challenged sports men and women".
The Minister noted the special place of sports in our hearts and acknowledged that the Para athletes showcase the indomitable spirit and resilience of athletes who have overcome immense challenges to compete at the highest level.
"These games exhibit the immense talent and potential of individuals with disabilities and remind us that they're abilities in disabilities," Enoh harped.
The Nation's sports boss pointed out that as Grand Patron, Senator Oluremi Tinubu" would undoubtedly inspire more positive charge, fostering an environment where Para-athletes can thrive and showcase their exceptional talents on the continental stage".
He said, " We look forward to witnessing the impact of her leadership in advancing the cause of para sports and promoting a more inclusive society, in Nigeria and all of Africa".
While congratulating her for a deserving honor, the Sports Minister expressed gratitude for her unwavering dedication to the betterment of our society and prayed that her tenure as Grand Patron be marked by significant strides.
