Encomium Trails FGGC Nkwelle Ezunaka Principal After Emerging Best Principal 2022

Encomium have continued to trail a renowned educationist and administrator, Dr Ifeoma Ezeodurukwe, after she emerged winner of the annual Ministerial Award for the  Best Principal 2022.

The award, a brain child of the Federal Ministry of Education is reserved for outstanding head from the various federal government-owned Unity schools in the country.

Speaking at the colorful  presentation ceremony held at the auditorium of the federal ministry of education, Abuja on 5/12/23, the Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Sununu, lauded the winner for her administrative skills, dedication and exemplary commitment to duty. 

According to Dr Sununu, "the impressive performance recorded by students of the Federal Government Girls College, where Dr Ezeoduruke is presiding over as the Director Principal in both WAEC and JAMB examinations, deserve special commendation.

 

"Apart from academic performance by the students, the high level of discipline in the school is indicative of pragmatic leadership style of the award winner. 

He commended the  school head for the aesthetics and serene learning environment obtainable at the institution and sued for sustenance.

Dr Sununu further lauded the distinguished award winner and others who emerged victorious in other categories, urging other heads of Unity Colleges to emulate their disposition towards official engagement.

In her remarks, Dr Mrs Ifeoma Eze-oduruke expressed delight over the recognition, describing the episode as humbling and inspiring 

She dedicated the award to God for the grace as well as her staff, students and parents for their corporation and support.

Dr Ifeoma holds a Bachelor of science degree in chemistry and education as well as Masters and a Doctorate in science education from  the prestigious  University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). She joined the service of the Federal Ministry of Education in 1988 as an education officer.

Through dint of hard work and dedication, she scaled through the ranks and files as a chemistry teacher,science departmental head to vice principal in a career spanning across Unity Colleges in Ikom in Cross River, Gboko in Benue, Ahaoada, Rivers, Calabar, Ezamgbo in Ebonyi state  and Ibusa in Delta state before moving to Federal Government Girls' College Nkwelle Ezunaka in Anambra.

Dr Mrs Ifeoma Phoebe Ezeodurukwe is married to Dr Eze Odurukwe, a Medical Practitioner and their marriage is blessed with five children, four males and one female.
