The Chief of Staff to the Cross River State Governor, Chief Emmanuel Ironbar, has felicitated with the First Lady of the state, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, on her 62nd birthday, describing her as a symbol of compassion, humility and selfless service.

In a goodwill message, Ironbar commended the First Lady for her outstanding contributions to humanity, noting that her life reflects a unique blend of spirituality, intellect and humanitarian commitment.

“Her Excellency is not just a First Lady by title, she embodies the role in heart, action and divine purpose,” he said. “At 62, she represents a shining example of a life dedicated to service, with a daily commitment to uplifting others and serving God.”

He observed that her presence has redefined the office of the First Lady in Cross River State, transforming it into a platform for people centred and compassion driven initiatives.

According to him, her interventions across key sectors have had far reaching impact. “From healthcare outreach programmes to educational support, from empowering women to restoring dignity to the vulnerable, her initiatives go beyond routine programmes. They are lifelines that continue to touch lives,” he stated.

Ironbar noted that her efforts have strengthened inclusive governance in the state, particularly in advancing the welfare of women, children and young people.

“In communities across the state, from marketplaces to rural settlements, her impact is evident in the lives she has touched,” he said. “She has brought governance closer to the people, making leadership responsive to real human needs.”

He further praised her compassionate approach to service, describing her as a leader who connects deeply with the people. “She has a rare ability to make the forgotten feel valued, the broken feel restored and the weary feel hopeful,” he added.

Highlighting her strong faith, Ironbar said her spiritual calling is evident in her actions and leadership style. “She is a vessel of divine grace. Her words inspire, her prayers uplift and her actions reflect Christ like love, seamlessly blending leadership with ministry,” he said.

The Chief of Staff also acknowledged her supportive role in governance, noting that her counsel and presence provide strength and stability to the administration.

“Her Excellency represents wisdom, encouragement and humility, serving as a pillar of strength whose influence continues to inspire effective leadership,” he noted.

He further described her as a woman of substance whose intellectual depth and professional accomplishments have enhanced her capacity to make meaningful impact.

Beyond her official responsibilities, Ironbar commended her simplicity and accessibility, stating that she relates warmly with people across all levels of society.

“She carries herself with humility and sincerity, engaging both dignitaries and ordinary citizens with the same sense of respect and kindness,” he said.

As the First Lady marks her 62nd birthday, Ironbar offered prayers for continued grace, strength and fulfilment, describing her as “a beacon of hope and a mother figure to many,” while wishing her many more years of impactful service.
