GRASSROOTS: Cleric Admonishes Christians Up To their Responsibilities Rather Than Being Infidel

Christians have been admonished to live upto their responsibilities rather than being infidel which is against the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This admonition was given by the Minister in-charge of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, St. Peters Parish, Ugep, Rt. Rev. Ukweni Ogba Ukweni in a sermon delivered to mark 2025 fatherhood/award service of the Church.

Preaching on the theme "a vessel for honour and with sub theme men – the Head Servants," the man of God who anchored the sermon from 2 Timothy 2-21 and Ephesians 6:4, decried the high level of insensitive of most men who abdicate their responsibilities as the head of the family to their wife.

Ukweni pointed out that men should wake up from their weakness and follow the teaching of Christ which accord the men as the Head of the family.

 

In his address the President of St. Peters Parish, Elder Engr. Sunday Obeten Ebri, commended the proactive vision and mission of the Minister in-charge of the Church, Rt. Rev. Ukweni Ogba Ukweni for introducing the fatherhood/award service which go a long way in fostering unity amongst the fathers and as well as reminding the fathers of their key role to their families and in the church as well as the world at large.

He further commended the fathers for zeal and courage towards participating in all church activities stressing that they should not relent their effort and to their families responsibilities according to the biblical injunction.

The point of the service which was well attended was in recognition of the long serving members
