‎The Dean of Student Affairs, University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Dr Victor Ndifon, has urged newly elected Students’ Union Government (SUG) leaders to respect institutional rules, follow established procedures and maintain constructive engagement with university management in the discharge of their responsibilities.

‎Ndifon gave the advice following the release of the certified results of the 2026 SUG elections conducted across the university’s Calabar, Ogoja and Okuku campuses.

‎He emphasised the need for the elected representatives to familiarise themselves with the hierarchy of university policies, particularly the Students’ Handbook, and ensure that their actions remain within the established regulatory framework.

‎The Dean, who chaired the university’s Electoral Commission, also advised the student leaders to observe the appropriate channels of communication when addressing issues concerning the institution and their union constitution.

‎The certified results were signed and released by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Victor Ndifon, and the Student Affairs Officer, Mr Ofem E. Ofem.

‎The university expects the elected representatives to discharge their duties responsibly, uphold the regulations governing student conduct and sustain a productive relationship with management in advancing the interests of the student community.
