Gov. Otu Backs APC New Executive, Pledges Govt Support

The Cross River state Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu has expressed government's commitment to ensure the success of the newly inaugurated Ettah's APC State Executive so as to sustain democratic dividends in the state.
Governor Otu who made the pledge while addressing delegates to the APC State Congress recently held at the Calabar state sports Stadium told the Party executive, "whenever you need support from the government, we are ready to give that support."
The Governor lauded the peaceful conduct of the Congress which has demonstrated the unity, strength of character and wisdom of Cross Riverians adding that though the elected Officers emerged as consensus candidates, there was no harassment of any sort on both the Stakeholders and delegates. He congratulated members of the APC Executive while charging them to utilise their wealth of experience in their various functions.
He also thanked the out-gone Exco for rendering selfless service to the Party as well laying the foundation to consolidate and moving the state forward.
"I congratulate you, welcome to the "headache". Managing humans and the Party is not an easy task so it's not going to be a tea party. I know God will help you. We will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy," Gov. Otu stated.
Speaking, the Chairman state Congress Committees, Mr Yanab urged Cross Riverians to embrace the developmental strides of the present administration by supporting Governor Bassey Otu's desire to make the state stand out among other states in the Country.
Yanab also solicited support for the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
"The Nigerian President means well for Cross River state and the Country. He needs your support, prayers, encouragement and loyalty because a lot of things will come that might be wrong but always stand firm by the truth in convincing yourself that you have a leader who is ready to champion the course of Cross River to greater heights." He assured.
The well attended Congress attracted APC National Members, state Executive Council, Stakeholders and Party Stalwarts to Cross River.
