APC Stops Announcement of Primaries Results At State level

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed immediate stoppage of the announcement of the results of primaries elections at the States chapter of the party.

This is contained in a release by the National Organizing Secretary of the party, Sulaiman Argungu.

In the release dated May 17 and titled "Central Results Collation and Announcement Centres National Assembly," it noted that there is an established procedures for the collation and announcement of results arising from the National Assembly (NASS) primary elections 

According to the release, these procedures are outlined as follows: ward collation, local government area collation, designated constituency collation centres, and submission of results and reports to the national headquarters. 

"Accordingly, no committee is permitted to conduct media briefing in their respective states of assignment. 

"Any official briefing, where necessary, shall be conducted exclusively in Abuja after the submission of all results," the statement concluded.
