2027: Jarigbe Seeks Re-Election, Promises More Projects, Better Welfare

The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has begun consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging to deliver more developmental projects and improve the welfare of his constituents if re-elected.

Jarigbe made the declaration on Thursday in Obanliku during a consultative meeting with key stakeholders as part of his engagement across the Northern Senatorial District. He said the visit is to formally notify the people of his intention to seek another mandate and to seek their support and prayers ahead of the party primaries.

Those consulted included members of the Obanliku Traditional Rulers Council and leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the area.

Addressing the gathering, the lawmaker said the visit was aimed at strengthening ties with the people and reinforcing his commitment to effective representation.

“I am here to formally inform you of my intention to seek re-election and to ask for your continued support, cooperation and prayers as political activities gather momentum,” he said.

He assured stakeholders of his resolve to attract more development to the district.

“I remain committed to delivering more projects and improving the welfare of my constituents if given another mandate. We have maintained consistent engagement with the people since the last election and will continue to do so,” he added.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area, the Paramount Ruler and the APC chapter chairman commended the senator for attracting infrastructural projects and promoting human capital development within a short period.

They also praised his regular interaction with constituents and pledged continued support for his leadership.

Dignitaries at the meeting included the local government chairman, Hon. Chris Agbe, Chief Timmy Tom, Rt. Hon. Peter Igbodor, Hon. Gabriel Edi, Chief Igbe Aruku, Chief Wabily Nyiam, Dr. Dornclaimz Enamhe, Barr. Mike Upan Aniah, Hon. Paddy Uguge and Hon. Martins Orim.

Others were Chief Austin Edibe, Rt. Hon. Regina Anyogo, Hon. Cynthia Nkasi, Hon. Thomas Agi, Hon. Pius Ashakia, Princess Otanya and Hon. Gabriel Bravoo Oluohu.
