The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has commenced political consultations with stakeholders in Cross River North Senatorial District with a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Peter Akonfe Undiandeye.
The visit, which took place at the chairman’s residence shortly after the senator’s arrival in Obudu, marked the beginning of a series of engagements with stakeholders across the senatorial district.
Accompanied by political allies and key stakeholders, Senator Jarigbe described the visit as a necessary step in his consultation process, stressing the importance of paying homage to local leadership.
“This visit to Obudu is the starting point of my consultations. It is important to engage with leaders at all levels as we move forward,” he said.
Receiving the senator and his delegation, Chief Tony Undiandeye commended Jarigbe for his continued support for the Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, and Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly since aligning with the All Progressives Congress.
He noted that the senator’s presence in Obudu underscored the growing acceptance and momentum of his political ambition among party faithful, stakeholders and constituents in the northern senatorial district.
Also speaking, former member of the House of Representatives, Gabriel Edi, described the visit as significant, pointing to the large turnout of stakeholders as a reflection of unity within the district.
According to him, Cross River North remains fortunate to have Senator Jarigbe as its representative, urging constituents to rally support for his reelection to enable continuity in leadership and collaboration with both the state and federal governments.
The consultation visit drew participation from several notable stakeholders including Chief Timmy Tom, Chief Igbe Aruku, Hon. Martins Orim, Dr. Dornclaimz Enamhe, Hon. Paddy Uguge, Wabily Nyiam, Hon. Chris Agbe, Hon. Thomas Agi, Uko Inaku and Hon. Bravo Gabriel Oluohu, among others.
The visit is expected to set the tone for subsequent engagements across the senatorial district as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of future elections.
