2027: Diaspora Network, Pillars Equity Say No Going Back On Reelection of Otu, Ekpenyong

The Nigeria Diaspora Business Network (USA) in collaboration with the Pillars of Equity, have stated unequivocally that the reelection of the Cross River State governor Senator Bassey Otu and the Senator representing the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State Asuquo Ekpenyong is non negotiable.
The Director of Finance of the organization, Kenneth Etim, who stated at a press briefing in Calabar ahead of the organisation is planning a “Mega Rally” in Calabar scheduled for April 4, 2026, maintained that the duo have done extrely well to merit the second term in office.
He said: “The mega rally is to inform people that the Governor has done well.
"We have seen his efforts in agriculture, education, security, tourism, infrastructure development, and the rapidly improving economy of the State."
Secretary General of Pillars of Equity, Mr. Effiom Bassey, said: “Justice, fairness, and the truth drive the philosophy of the organisation ahead of the 2027 elections."
The group also showered praise on Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, describing him as the “Star Boy” of the Senate.
They listed his achievements including his efforts in actualizing the South South Development Commission bill, his scholarship interventions, and his personal interest in addressing infrastructural challenges within the constituency.
