UNICAL Appoints Okon, Dan-Obo as Heads of Mass Communication, Journalism Departments

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Offiong Efanga Offiong, has approved the appointment of Prof. Patrick Ene Okon and Dr. Kwita Adomi Dan-Obo as Heads of the Departments of Mass Communication and Journalism and Media Studies.

In a statement, the Vice-Chancellor said Prof. Okon will serve a three year term, during which he is expected to provide effective leadership and promote academic excellence within the department.

The appointments are part of efforts by the university administration to strengthen academic leadership and enhance teaching, research and professional development across the communication disciplines.
