"Stay Clear of Our Affairs", South East PDP Warns Nyesom Wike

The South East Zonal Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a strong warning to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, cautioning him to refrain from interfering in the party's internal affairs in the South East zone.
A statement signed by the zonal publicity secretary, the PDP South East zone Engr Chigozie Igwe categorically rejected and condemned Wike's recent media statements regarding the party's leadership and structure in the South East, describing them as "reckless and baseless."
The party asserts that Wike lacks the legitimacy, authority, and moral standing to speak on the zone's affairs, as he holds no official position in the party.
They accused Wike of sabotage, citing his endorsement of APC candidates and praise for the Rivers State local government elections, which were widely criticized for lacking credibility.
The zonal cacus also noted that Wike lost the last local government elections in Rivers State, despite his claims of success.
The South East PDP issued a final warning to Wike, urging him to "stay clear of the affairs of the PDP South East zone." "The party threatens to respond with "the full weight of our mandate and unity if Wike continues to interfere" Igwe said.
He added that the South East PDP remains committed to rebuilding the party from within, without distractions from those who have abandoned its ideals.
