SPORTS: Real Madrid Spalhes $100m Plus A Player For Chelsea Midfielder

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offload Aurelien Tchouameni as part of a major swap deal to land Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. Spanish reports claim Madrid are willing to include the French international alongside a significant cash sum to secure the Argentine.

Chelsea’s ownership under Todd Boehly has overseen spending of more than £1 billion since 2022, focusing heavily on young talent. Despite this investment, the club has yet to return to consistent title contention and currently sit sixth in the Premier League following another managerial change.

Fernandez arrived at Stamford Bridge from Benfica in February 2023 for a club-record £106.8 million, symbolising Chelsea’s new transfer strategy. However, speculation suggests his future could already be uncertain if the right offer emerges.

Reports from Spain state that Real Madrid see Fernandez as the ideal solution to their midfield needs. The proposed deal would see Chelsea receive around €100 million plus Tchouameni, whose valuation stands near €65 million, making it a blockbuster package.

Meanwhile, Chelsea may also allow Alejandro Garnacho to leave on loan just months after signing from Manchester United. Atletico Madrid are pushing for the Argentine winger, believing regular minutes would benefit him ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Diego Simeone has approved the move, though no agreement has been reached.

Raheem Sterling, frozen out of Chelsea’s plans, is attracting interest from Napoli. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Serie A side are in talks with Sterling’s representatives to assess the feasibility of a move.

Romano added that Sterling is keen to experience football outside England for the first time in his career. Napoli are now weighing their options and are expected to decide soon whether to proceed with a formal approach for the Chelsea forward.
