POLITICS: Failure To Comply With Our Resolutions Will Nullify PDP Nov. Convention, Says Ortom

The former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has cautioned the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against disregarding key resolutions taken by stakeholders, warning that failure to comply would invalidate any future national convention of the party.
Ortom issued this warning while addressing party members during a consultative meeting. He stressed that decisions collectively adopted by organs of the PDP must be respected if the party is to maintain credibility and internal democracy.
“Failure to comply with these resolutions shall render any national convention invalid,” Ortom declared.
He explained that the PDP had suffered setbacks in recent years due to disunity and disregard for internal agreements. He called on the National Working Committee (NWC) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) to guarantee inclusiveness and transparency in the build-up to the next convention.
Ortom reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP but maintained that adherence to rules was the only path to restoring confidence in the opposition party.
