NUJ Joins Thousands in Calabar to Celebrate Divine Manifestation of Olumba Olumba

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Cross River Chapter, on Thursday joined a massive crowd of more than 5,000 worshippers in Calabar for the celebration of the Divine Manifestation of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.

The Union’s delegation, led by the Chairman Comrade Archibong Bassey, participated in the ceremony alongside traditional rulers, business leaders, clergy, Nollywood personalities, and members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The gathering was held in honour of the Holy Father, who also serves as the patron of the NUJ, as he marked his birthday.

As part of the festivities, the First Royal Microfinance Bank rolled out an empowerment initiative, issuing financial grants to hundreds of beneficiaries and unveiling twelve new Ambassadors appointed to champion its vision.

In his message to the congregation, His Holiness expressed gratitude for what he described as the recognition of the sovereignty of his Divine Incarnation. “I grant each soul the opportunity to know the fullness of this mystery,” he declared.

He assured worshippers that all who have committed themselves to the service of the Kingdom would have their sacrifices remembered, their strength renewed, and their journeys made fruitful.

Obu also extended blessings to global leaders, the suffering, and all faithful servants, stressing that their labour had been divinely acknowledged. He further commended the Organizing Committee and appreciated all guests who graced the event.

In her goodwill remarks, NUJ Chairman Comrade Archibong Bassey praised His Holiness for his lifelong dedication to uplifting humanity and wished him a joyous birthday celebration.
