The Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crusis (AMORC) has been described as an Order of self-realization and not a mystical cult as perceived by members of the public.

The Worthy Master of the Apolonius Lodge Calabar and host of the event, Mba Ukweni, SAN, made this known in a one day meet-up interactive session, tagged Rosicrusian handshake, held in Calabar on Thursday.

According to Ukweni, the Rosicrusian Order is not a cult but a school of thought where members, also known as students, are thought natural laws that are good for man to know in attainment of self-realisation, which is in line with the biblical palance "Man Know thyself."

"AMORC is not a religion and does not require a specific code of belief. Our members come from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds in devotion to the investigation, study and practical application of natural and spiritual laws for the attainment of health, happiness and profound peace”. 

Welcoming the guests to the event, the host Regional Monitor, Frater Henry Ojogu, said the interactive session tagged 'The Rosicrucian Handshake' is a Rosicrucian event created by the Apolinuis Lodge to avail the Rosicrucians the opportunity to meet and cross relate with non-Rosicrucians.

He explained that the purpose of the lecture was to provide answers to some mind-bugling questions: "Who is God? What is our purpose in life? Who are the Rosicrucians? What do they? Are they spirits or human? He added that such occasion provides us a hub of opportunities to interact, relate, network as well as an avenue to learn new business ideas.

Also interacting with guest at the event, the Grand Councillor of Cross River State, Frater John Omori, stated that Rosicrucians are not spirits but humans like every other person but what gives them an edge is the knowledge they possess of God, life and nature.

He explained people most times know the truth and what to do as the right thing but because of public opinion they tend to shy away from it adding that Rosicrucianism teaches one the natural laws for the attainment of love, life and light.

The interactive session had guest from all walks of life and featured activities including networking, games, free speeches, dance and entertainment.
