Senator Williams Brightens Obubra Urban With Solar-powered Street Lights

The Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Eteng Williams has facilitated the installation of solar street lights in Obubra Urban in Obubra Local Government Area,as part of his ‘Light Up Central Project.’

This first phase of the solar lights which was installed from the popular Obubra junction along Ikom/Calabar Highway into Obubra Urban would enhance security and improve the micro economy of the community, considering the importance of light to human and societal development. The solar street lights would, to a great extent, curb many nefarious acts during night hours, thereby contributing to the security measures in society.

Senator Williams, however, enjoined the benefiting community to safeguard the solar lights jealously in their interest and overall development of the area.

While assuring other communities of this similar gesture soon, the lawmaker said he intends to make Cross River Central senatorial district adequately illuminated. Senator Williams guarantees the people of his constituency quality and purposeful representation that would improve their standard of living.
